A compilation of papers presented at the RCI Foundation Symposium on Building Envelope Sustainability: The Future is in the Balance. The event was held at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington DC from April 30 to May 1, 2009.

The National Institute of Building Sciences, the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, the National Research Council Canada, the Institute for Research in Construction and the Building Enclosure Technology and Environment Council were co-sponsors of the program.
